To be honest I use minibits and I have no idea. I send zaps from minibits and I'm not sure if they get converted to lightning payments or stay as cashu payments.

zaps are sats

use send zaps from nostr to minibits

via lightning

the mint you used minted you ecash for those sats, you have ecash in minibits

if you pay a lightning invoice with ecash, a lightning payment happens from the mint. If you create some ecash and send it to someone there is no lightning transaction until a user decides to exit the mint or pay a lightning invoice with the ecash/sats
