Free market... If the people putting on the event decide to host it somewhere and it has a shitty turnout, they will have to adjust to what the market wants in the future or fail. Simple solution if you don't like the decision is to not attend.
Wow! Never would have thought that we would not have a democratic process on Nostr. I find it amusing that a few elitists get to decide where the next unconference is even though the overwhelming support was for Australia.
