I just heard about the drama going on at the Mozilla Foundation, anyone know a good replacement for Firefox? I'm going to try LibreWolf, any other suggestions?

I've tried every browser known to man. Ungoogled chromium seems to be the best.

Sadly there kinda isn’t one - every other browser is just a Chromium skin with all the Google-pushed crap either neutered or still there. If you’re on a Mac, it’s Firefox or Safari.
Also apparently the latest round of layoffs doesn’t impact Mozilla Corporation, only Mozilla Foundation (which owns the corporation but doesn’t work on Firefox).
Thanks good to know. If the speculation about the Mozilla Corp losing their Google funding, and that it makes up most of their revenue, plus starting their own ad biz are accurate those are also red flags.
Yea I mean they’ve been struggling for a while, though who knows about Google funding, rumors are rumors…
In any case, the sad part is there’s just no alternative (except Safari on MacOS) - I seriously question the sustainability of people maintaining greater and greater sized patches on chrome forever.

I also recommend trying Mullvad Browser and the Tor Browser, as they both use the same Gecko engine. Stay off the chromium browsers if you want the maximum amount of privacy and security, and if your ok with chromium give brave and Vivaldi a try
Browsers are so essential but in such a dire situation right now. I gave up on Firefox a while ago but Chromium isn't great neither. And I don't trust the smaller teams that just patch the bigger browsers to fit some narrative.
I keep hoping somebody will pick up https://github.com/twilco/kosmonaut and productize it. No idea how to ethically fund it besides e-begging though...
Love the idea of a new #rust based browser engine. 🦀 Ethical monetization is hard for FOSS, I hope someone can take this or something like it forward.
