I couldn't resist picking this up from the thrift shop. It reminded me of childhood and I think the kids will like it.

That is awesome! My kids inherited my old set from when I was a kid, unfortunately through the years my old set lost a few pieces here and there… they still play with it though
A few years back, I went into a Toy R Us to buy a birthday gift. I asked what isle I could find Erector sets, and the employee looked at me like I had two heads. He had no clue what I was talking about.
Most of my toys were engineering or science related, and those types of items seem to be vanishing.
My older brother had one of those and hen I was about 4 years old 😄. Should be fun 🙌
