Hard to believe it's been almost a decade since I used a script to delete everything I had ever posted and left Reddit. Good riddance. I had used it since the very early days. It's like a sad propaganda zombie now.

my reddit account is 15 years old. it's one of the oldest and still active accounts that i use.

That's a long time.

Mine would have been almost 20 at this point 🤯 I was there early. I had learned about it on Digg, then moved over completely after the HD DVD key controversy on Digg. I miss it from the early days when it was focused more on tech and real conversation.

In 2016 the CEO at the time actually edited some posts of other users. That was the final straw, and I knew it was time to leave. Looking back, I think when Aaron died, the heart and soul of Reddit died with it.

Aaron Swartz would have loved Nostr I think.
