I don't know why I keep using Reddit... I replied to a comment on /r/politics that referenced Battlestar Galactica with "SO SAY WE ALL!" and my comment was removed for excessive caps. Adama literally yells that in the TV show. It's all so tiresome.

AINT THAT SOME SHIT

Reddit is blind to ODELL MODE.

Also, THE (nostr) BOARD IS GREEN.

SO SAY WE ALL!

The best part about reddit comes after you unlock the "big red bar" achievement.

Being permabanned means you can't participate, only observe. While this has some drawbacks, it's largely beneficial in preventing one from being sucked in to communications with "redditors" which are in fact very problematic creatures.

They can remove deez nuts. Deleted that shit several years ago. I'm still alive, if you can believe it.

i use reddit for a lot of news. i don't really consume news from any news websites, getting nearly 99% of my news from nostr and reddit. the problems come from reading the comments and trying to sometimes particpate in them.

Yeah I think almost 100% of mine comes from YouTube and Nostr. I tried Kagi News and it looked cool but I just don't consume news that way for some reason. It's interesting to see the different ways people consume it. I never would have thought of Reddit for that. 🤔

Pretty sure during covid I got lifetime ban. Fk the fking fkers. Fuck all legacy social media. Its just shit.

for a long time i didn't consider reddit social media, because perhaps it started out being the anti-social media., but i am probably wrong here. reddit is a shadow of it's former self.

Man, I can't even get into reddit. This smug fedorafuck is always guarding the entrance:

LOL you're permabanned? wow. what did you do?

I think it's because I use a VPN. I dont know, and I'm not going to turn it off just to be around smelly redditors.

oh. that's a fair point.

Yeah that happens all the time with Tor

I have this happen on a VPN only sometimes. But I'm usually clicking a link in search suggestions for some specific post about a specific topic. It's annoying.

Hard to believe it's been almost a decade since I used a script to delete everything I had ever posted and left Reddit. Good riddance. I had used it since the very early days. It's like a sad propaganda zombie now.

my reddit account is 15 years old. it's one of the oldest and still active accounts that i use.

That's a long time.

Mine would have been almost 20 at this point 🤯 I was there early. I had learned about it on Digg, then moved over completely after the HD DVD key controversy on Digg. I miss it from the early days when it was focused more on tech and real conversation.

In 2016 the CEO at the time actually edited some posts of other users. That was the final straw, and I knew it was time to leave. Looking back, I think when Aaron died, the heart and soul of Reddit died with it.

Aaron Swartz would have loved Nostr I think.

Using capital letters outside NOSTR world is hate speech!!!

reddit was the first social app I uninstalled

it is THE most fascist of them all
