Does anyone know if you can delete stuff off Nostr? Do I truly have control over my stuff?

You have control over what you publish and over your identity, but once a word is said, once data is signed, you can’t roll back time.

You can request for relays to delete your data, but you can’t have a guarantee that they will fulfill your request.

This is true for everything and anything on the internet; when a platform tells you they deleted something they are just lying.

Thank you! That’s good to know and keeps a level of transparency and authenticity. Great answer, especially about the platforms lying. How can I request relays to delete a post? I’m just trying to figure out how Nostr works and its capabilities.

Different clients do it differently; they typically have a “request delete “ option on the menu of each of your notes, but some clients don’t show it; so highly client-specific.
