What to do when things don't go your way?
New Clients often struggle with this. Can you still train when you are tired? Have PMS or a headache? Hungover? Short on time? Injured? Stressed out because a loved one gets cancer?
And the answer is YES! Do what you can with what you have. That is a timeless priciple.
Short on time: do half a session or a fast circuit training
Injured bodypart: train everything else
Stressed and tired: do an easier session, (only train your arms & shoulders maybe)
Weak & sick: go for a walk or hike instead of power cardio
The List goes on on if one is really looking for alternatives. "Can't get much done if you only work when you feel good". The succesfull do more with less. This does not mean you should not take care of yourself! But there are options like active recovery instead of going straight to bed after the first sign of trouble. Its not black or white, there is nuance.
So instead of falling of the wagon once again...ask yourself:
what can I still do? Despite my trouble.
Anyways: I felt weak and sick the last three days. So I took it easy. Halfass morning routine just to stay disciplined. No full training on saturday. But I did some easy work for my arms & shoulders. Doesnt matter how hard you train those. Its a small bodypart, so you wont weaken yourself and your immunesystem too much even if you would go all out on them. Ps: video unrelated xD
