Ask any Ontario doc who has worked in the States for a period and they will tell you we are also a decade or more behind tech-wise.

Yep I do have a friend who worked from Windsor and Detroit
He also gave better care in USA because he was paid more, now he tries to provide care as fast as possible to collect the flat rate OHIP fee for each patient
Another fucked up part of OHIP is that if you have a family doc, cannot get an appointment and opt to use a clinic: OHIP bills your family doctor for the visit. Often times up to the full fee of what the doctor gets to roster you annually.
