One of the reviews recommended adding a tray of water to even out the temperature throughout the smoker cabinet area. I used that idea but used the brine I'd soaked the chicken in instead of plain water. The smell is phenomenal.
Some of the written reviews for this smoker claimed that the smoker was hard to maintain temp in. I've found it quite easy so far, but I've only had it going about an hour. It's been sitting pretty at about 225.
