Global Trending is a bad algo because post velocity (the key metric on trending) depends on sub-community velocity while ignoring the user's interest and expertise to find narrow-audience trends.

That's a great explanation!

Maybe we need a "meaninful" DVM...

This kind of discovery is useless without applying your own view of the network (in or out your echo chamber) *and* discarding worthless npubs.

So imagine you could pipe this DVM through another one that made it relevant and/or meaningful.

It's the kind of stuff we are trying to fix with nostr:nprofile1qqs0dqlgwq6l0t20gnstnr8mm9fhu9j9t2fv6wxwl3xtx8dh24l4auspz4mhxue69uhkzat5dqhxummnw3erztnrdaksz9rhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjmcpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgxmpqkh

My Dvms already use the WoT algo from Pip. Furthermore content DVMs accept topics and interests from users but no client makes use of it. And then again there isn't as much content right now to expect any other outcome.
