Why were witches and warlocks burned? Because they were practicing medicine without the approval of the newly formed gatekeeping institutions, universities.

The broom, to keep the place tidy.

The cats, to get rid of the pests.

The church and the bourgeoisie ganged together to try to keep one of the most valuable resource on earth under their control and ownership, knowledge.

Decentralize education and academic accreditation asap. I got a few ideas…

I worked for the Vatican indirectly (their unofficial media arm); power, sex and money. That being said, the problem extend far beyond the Catholic Church. Academia was further corrupted by a whole other bunch of control hungry groups.

Everything is corrupt within in this system but I want those vaults to be opened up. They confiscated a lot during the transatlantic slave trade and the genocide of indigenous people. It would be cool to finally have our history back
