I am clueless on how to navigate this.
If you have Android, and are up for a small adventure, install Obtanium. Think of it as a nerd's replacement for Google Play.
Open Obtanium, select "Add App", paste the URL from my previous note, and select "Add".
From there, you can use Obtanium to install BraveNewPipe, and it will let you update when a new version is released.

If you do, you'll be able to use Obtanium to install other apps like Amber, 0xchat, Primal, etc.

At the bottom of this page, there is a button "Download Universal APK" that will download the installation file to your phone.
Run the .apk file to go through the installation process. Android might give a warning about "installing from unknown sources". Since you're the wiz behind the curtain, confirm your decision and forge ahead.
After that, you should have an Obtanium icon in your apps area.
