The inconvenient truth is, just like the Internet, normies won’t use Bitcoin the way we think. In order for normies to adopt the Internet was to literally wrap everything up in a nice little package that hides everything the Internet really is, into something unrecognizable to the tech savvy.

People will just use the tech because it’s 100x better.
Its true, but i don't see why its inconvenient.
These people would rather their children are crippled than think about anything or make any decisions for themselves.
Just like everything else, they will look for other people to decide for them about bitcoin, and to hold it for them.
If they're lucky then something like fedimint will mean they end up, through the hard work of others, trusting some institution that is actually trustworthy.
I guess that’s part of the paradox, “trust in a trust-less system”… the inconvenience comes into play when you are bound to external actors with which they must trust to keep “their” Bitcoin safe and secure.. and still be “their Bitcoin”… Most of the time this turns into custody within a centralized system.
