Zapping can serve an incentivzing factor for journalists and content creators without having any intermediaries, which is a good thing imo

Agreed, it's actually good to have a way to tipping content creator, my issue is that I don't like when someone using Nostr because of the zaps. You get it? The zaps is an addition to Nostr and not the main thing, the decentralization and the freedom it brings is the main thing.
Yes, decentralization is key component. Nonetheless, zapping btc/xmr only makes it better.
