Zapping with decentralized money on a decentralized social media is why #nostr is special.

Zapping uses lightning, not decentralized money

I run my own node and zap from it through NWC. I receive zaps to my npub through nlub.cash. I run my own relay for backup purposes Lightning is as decentralized as you make it. Lack of effort doesn't mean it's centralized. It's only centralized if you use custodians because you're lazy.

2. Lightning requires custodial help, just because you run your own node doesn't mean you're self-custodying it. It's a lightning mode, not a Bitcoin blockchain network node. Stop confusing lightning with bitcoin

Agreed, it's actually good to have a way to tipping content creator, my issue is that I don't like when someone using Nostr because of the zaps. You get it? The zaps is an addition to Nostr and not the main thing, the decentralization and the freedom it brings is the main thing.
Yes, decentralization is key component. Nonetheless, zapping btc/xmr only makes it better.
