That sounds great as a start, for sure, but it wouldn't allow using your Alby lightning address with your LNBits wallet, like Alby Hub does with my full node balance, or would it?

Hmm, you can set Alby with Alby Hub as your funding source already and use its lightning address at the same time. Same with NWC funding source directly from the Hub.
Perhaps explaining my use-case would help.
I essentially want to use my Start9 Lightning node uncle Jim for my family, and perhaps some close friends. I figure that LNBits is probably the easiest way for them each to have separate wallets that use my node for liquidity. I will also need to find a way to provide them with separate lightning addresses. Shouldn't be too difficult once Start9 finally releases their next update, giving each service an addressable port.
My thought was, if Alby Hub could connect to these LNBits wallets separately, each of my family members could use an Alby lightning address with their LNBits wallet that uses my node's liquidity, but tracks their balance, rather than my node's entire outbound liquidity.
Hmm, you can use Alby Hub (if you have it on Start9), Connections -> Add Connection -> Isolated, and this creates NWC Connection Secret with isolated balance but shared liquidity.
Each of such connections can be linked to separate Alby Account, to get wallet interface and a Lightning Address. Also, each of them can be used as LNbits funding source as well!
Figured it out!
I bypassed using LNBits entirely and just used the LNDHub connection within the Alby account I set up for my daughter to get her set up on nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 then set her up to zap on #Amethyst with the NWC option inside her Alby account, and DONE!
nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm, you have completely changed the game for being an Uncle Jim!
Very cool!
Wow, so cool! Did you use NWC Isolated Connection to her getalbycom Account and took LNDhub from there?
Precisely.
Using alby hub, Do you have separate wallets for different users running from the same lightning node?
Yes, exactly. My daughter has her own balance on my node, using my existing channels for liquidity.
You just need to use the "Isolated" option when establishing a new connection in your Alby Hub.
