I prefer custodial vs self-custodial.
The term “non” implies absence or lacking a characteristic and thus can be confusing or even perceived negatively in this context, specially for people who are just learning.

Reserved & owned? It’s a good question and I’m thinking about how a word like that can fall on deaf ears for a lot of people, and the idea of owning the money supply matters.
