Was Bitcoin meant for the masses or will it be an asset for the 1%?
Is unit bias real and for the masses it is too expensive and they will instead look for faster cheaper scams from the "cryptos"?

that's why i like the phrase "stack sats"
it shows you are building, without needing to be a wholecoiner
Meant for the masses, but ultimately the masses will be controlled by the powers at be.
In places where crypto will be legal and regulated, I think the masses will flock to whatever the government allows. Most likely their top holdings. Bitcoin could be advertised by them as a "savings for the future" and other cryptos as a modern stock investment (in the shitcoin company).
If you try to evangelize the masses to more sovereign ways, you'll probably be shutdown. Just a random guess, so take it with a grain of salt.
It was meant for the masses but I have realized that they are way worse than we all thought. They are scared, they donβt want responsibility and donβt want to learn anything new.
At this point I believe btc adoption will be driven by the 1% that have the right mentality (openess, creativity, drive, which are shared way more by the wealthy that the masses). The masses will get btc only when it is absolutely βsafeβ and when the wealthy will have gathered most of it
Looking on the bright side we still get a world on a bitcoin standard, itβs just a shame that the masses wasted such opportunity
Great take. I am thinking we may not get more than 1% self custody, but maybe higher custodial.. Upto 10%. Like only 10% of people own stocks, probably Bitcoin will be the same.
1% self-custody sounds about right for the next 10 years, the other 99% will use custodial.
But I hope that in 20 years we will be at least at 10% self-custody
Also itβs true what you say, something like 20% actually invest and know how to manage money, the other 80% donβt do shit or are just trying to survive day to day and donβt have any savings
Sorry lately Iβm really disappointed by humanity, Iβm just dumbfounded by how asleep the average person is, I realized this in the last 6 months talking about btc to ppl
Mass adoption probably won't be driven by self determination. It will be driven by market demand. It won't be #bitcoin itself that they demand - it will be the next revolutionary product (like the iPhone first launch) that 'they simply must have' and the manufacturer is demanding bitcoin as payment.
Yeah, that could certainly play out
