Hey nostr:npub12gu8c6uee3p243gez6cgk76362admlqe72aq3kp2fppjsjwmm7eqj9fle6 what’s going on with MSTX? It trading way off and MSTR is up. I’m trying to buy premarket but I guess I’m still too early.

Not sure how knowledgeable you are about stocks and derivatives, if you aren’t I would suggest avoiding those leveraged plays on MSTR unless very bullish short-term. If you know your stuff, just ignore me lol.

MSTX and MSTU seem to track worse on the downside because of the options decay. You might see that accelerated on expiry.

Pre-market is also trick, maybe liquidity is low for them?

MSTR is volatile enough for me but if I want additional volatility (rarely) I go to the options chain directly on either MSTR or IBIT.

I’m not the most knowledgeable but have been messing with MSTR in a retirement account for a few years to get Bitcoin exposure. Started dabbling with MSTX in the last six as a play on MSTR so I don’t sell the MSTR for now but could trade in and out of MSTX on ups and downs.

MSTR in a retirement account definitely makes sense.

I’m not against MSTX/MSTU, I just think they are for very short-term trading and when a trend is clear (like a couple of weeks ago).

BTW - obviously I’m not a day trader or invest for a living but likely similar to you just enjoy the markets and have been learning daily for a long time. Investing has so many avenues it can be a lifetime of learning.
