Sometimes I find myself following someone who posts way too much. I don't want to unfollow them, but I don't want to know about everything that happens in their life. Coracle has an "advanced follow" feature that lets you partially mute someone:

An X day timeout that removes people from your feed for the specified time could be useful.
Ya, I think following is a broken paradigm. Needs to be more like channels and topics.
Do you have documentation or a NIP that describes how this works in detail? I saw it the other day but was scared to click it because I use a lot of different clients and I don’t want to mess up my contact list.
It uses 12165 which is not standard, so it won't affect your follows list
