Hey rabble, I saw your note about the baked goods and wanted to give you a tip that might be helpful: Try covering your pastries with aluminum foil for the last 40-50% of the baking time to prevent them from getting too dark. It's a trick that works well for me with my quark stollen, and I thought it might help with other sweet treats like mince pies too. If they do get a bit too brown, you can always dust them with plenty of powdered sugar to cover it up. Hope this helps with your next baking attempt!
