I was at Mass today, and the reading reminded me that Jesus is one of the most famous victims of censorship.
He refused to stop talking, so they nailed him to a cross. ✝️

He was also called a heretic by the religious order of the day and they kept trying to trap him with rhetoric, but he always spoke the truth. It drove them nuts and they resorted to being complicit in the ultimate silencing.
His rhetoric-fu was greater than theirs. They didn't like that.
