I had to get my Missouri license and registration for my truck today.

I'm not a fan at all of Missouri's draconian personal property tax laws.

If the State can seize my property If I don't pay continual taxes on it, then it's not really my property now is it?

My enacting such an onerous tax policy, Missouri has effectively abolished the right to own private property.

Ok, enough ranting. Now it's time to focus on making a pig pen and shelter.

I plan on putting my pigs in my pond that doesn't hold water. Hopefully they'll fix that for me.

Yes that is one thing that really sticks in my craw. I have been thinking about techniques to reduce personal property taxes.. I cannot even believe people allowed these to be ever be brought about

Well the only legal way that I can see to reduce property taxes is to not own property, which in my opinion goes against human nature and eventually leads to slavery.

MO property tax law is such that you only report what you own on January 1st. So by that logic I could sell everything I have on December 31st and buy it all back on January 2nd

Unfortunately they would lead to a bunch of sales taxes and registration fees and would probably cost more not to mention being a pain.

My solution is to be as self sufficient as I possibly can, earn as much fiat as possible, so when tax day comes it'll hurt less.
