Thanks for sharing. Makes sense that the industry is going further in this direction. Reminds me of a section in this book about testing songs by calling random people and playing it for them over the phone.

Yeah I enjoyed the history and listened to any music mentioned along the way that I wasn’t familiar with so it was a good education for me.

There’s a big section about the “hit factories” including Max Martin and those in that circle in Sweden. Very interesting how sought-after people who could almost guarantee hit song were/are.
