Its not free, the data overhead, relays, lightning nodes, people managing channels and so on negate the value of 1 sat.

Oh no doubt. Not arguing that. But if people just want to deposit into my account I’m not going to say anything about it. That’s just me
not to mention that sending very small payments like that often makes the fee absurd and way bigger than the payment itself
