Before Nostr was even on my radar, a good friend and I were doing a lot of promotion of bitcoin lightning as a really good way to support creators directly VS through platforms like Youtube, OF, Patreon, etc that take big cuts. One dude had zero chill and kept bitching about us talking about it. I asked him, "Why are you mad that content creators would rather keep 100% of what their followers choose to contribute, would you rather a chunk of your money go to a corporation?" his response? "I support creators in other ways."
I never got clarification on what other ways meant. I suspect it meant he mainly bitched in telegram groups to show his support for the effort they put in😂
