I'm about to try and take an $80k piece of hired machinery into a boggy dam/pond to try & clean it out.
I couldn't get what I wanted out with the excavator from the sides yesterday.
Feeling nervous.

You could post photos and videos, even stream it. Must be a big interesting outdoors project.
Yeah - it's certainly interesting.
Might post some photos I I don't get stuck or roll it.
Just make sure you have a chain and a truck to pull yourself out
I figure i can use the arm to push/crawl myself out if it gets really bad.
It's hard to get a vehicle in where I'm working.
It's a 5 tonne machine, so should have some bite.
You'll be right take a snorkel though!
Pussied out. I couldn't find a hard enough surface under all that silt & sand. Just so much sludge. What was there quickly filled with water. Yeah nah.
Disappointed but I'll get over it.
