America needs to lower the minimum wage for migrant workers and also streamline visas for them and start issuing huge numbers of these or else the prices of food and housing construction is going to skyrocket.
I'm not against the crackdown on illegal immigration. But can't sensibly do one without the other.

Considering how many enjoy the products of labor at or below minimum wage. Current minimum wage farm workers is $7.25/hour.
Plus i dont know many who "natives" or can roof, hang/finish drywall or do work on a farm.
This all happened before in California. The fruit harvest all fell to the ground and rotted because no Americans wanted to work for shit wages and Trump was patrolling the border. Then the prices of fruit skyrocketed and people started complaining. I emember my cousins in Oroville telling me all about it.
Markets /can/ fix this however with proper planning.
A free market would fix it automatically, no planning needed, but to keep national borders (denying free trade between parties that strattle the border) then you need planning to compensate.
I accept there is a practical need for national borders, but I still see them as primarily a violation of freedom.
To isolate for security reasons, there will be a disruption period but yes eventually it will settle.
Forget the wages, many dont want to work in the heat. Office and white collar jobs have spoiled them. Heat stroke for everyone and as you mentioned wasted harvest.

Cart before the horse. This only works if your culture is distinct and migration of any kind is predicated upon the expectation of assimilation. This "come into my house and do whatever you want" approach leads to violence and isolative ideals. America's culture is in shambles, I'd work on that first.
