Resources in the ground though. If we could get only get them to market.

Yes absolutely.

Don’t worry I haven’t given up on Canada.

I think our future is very bright.

Neither have I. There’s a line, and they are getting pretty close to it.

I hate myself for saying this but I honestly think Castro was the perfect man for the job.

They’ve showed how tyrannical governments can be and how completely useless they are.

Plus they’ve accelerated the death of the fiat dollar.

It’s been very painful but it’s happening quicker than it would have under a conservative government.

For sure, he’s been a good measuring stick to use 😂.

As an example of the stupidity of Canada’s current government, on December 20th my grocery store was no longer allowed to provide customers with compostable bags at the checkout.

However, they could still sell them in the aisle.

So, when I forget my reusable bags, I have to buy the compostable bags, hand them to the person bagging the groceries, and have them unwrap each one individually, and bag my groceries.

When the uselessness of your government becomes this visible, it’s only a matter of time before the masses extrapolate this type of policy to other areas of governance.

Yes.

People had to FEEL IT.

I’m still under the impression that all this had to happen.

As bad as it’s been, it was completely necessary to show everyone just how bad it can be.

For sure. People have to have their livelihoods threatened before they take notice.

Even then it’s not enough sometimes. Crazy times. When you see what’s really going on, it’s impossible to unsee it. I wish I could unsee some days as it’s hard to see all the complete bullshit everywhere and maintain full sanity.

Yeah I’ve thought about this before.

That it might have been easier to get have my head in the sand. Easy come easy go.

But not as much lately. I think we’ve been put into this position for a reason.

I’m very thankful to have lived through this time in history and got to be apart of this change.

There will a lot of regret in 20 years but hopefully ours will be minimal.

Agree 💯💯

I’m proud of younger me for dropping the ego down enough to really learn BTC. That opened a whole new world & I would not go back.

Never ever

It changes your whole life

For the much better imo

Didn’t see that coming.

Y’all Canadiens need to reign in the ludicrous green energy spending / proposed regulation that is coming down the pipeline. Carbon tax, limits on natural gas generation, hydrogen (ha!), carbon capture and sequestration on new industrial and power generation capacity - the list goes on and on. Absolutely insane some of the communist things your federal government is communicating as it pertains to the future of “fossil” energy.

Eh?

Haha it’s crazy how many people still believe oil comes from dead dinosaurs.

And yes I could not agree more.

The good news is that Alberta/Sask who lead the country in energy are done with the federal government. They’ve been pushed to their limits and are now fighting back.

Danielle Smith (premier of Alberta) is on the handful of politicians that I trust. So far anyways. She’s been great for Alberta and Canada overall.

It’ll take some time but we’ll turn this ship around. One day at a time.

Fossil fuels is one of the biggest jokes on humanity. Oil isn’t scarce. Diamonds aren’t ether. Nothing is really………..EXCEPT BITCOIN.

Oh yeah, it all comes back to the apex predator. Regardless of where you live!!!

Fossil lol

The rhetoric of our current government does not represent the majority of our population.

Carbon tax won’t make it, natural gas production is a provincial matter and the federal government can pound sand, and carbon capture is actually a relatively cheap and easy way to make targets, and is supported by the oil and gas industry. It’s one of the main reason Buffet is buying up so much OXY stock.

You’re good up until you get to carbon capture … that’s a big ‘no go’. Most oil companies are cool supporting it because it will quickly reveal the cost to governments and the people won’t have it. Go do some more research and apply the academic conclusions to the real world. Economics don’t work out…

for example, $85 45Q in the US means that 1 MTA/yr emissions would cost $85M to the taxpayers (or money printers). Those numbers don’t include the capital cost of adding a facility, which is $100sM USD.

1MTA represents the less than the emissions from one large industrial facility.

The scale of the numbers becomes staggering, quickly.

Costs to governments?
