Not a guru but my two cents: you can use any wallet you want in El Salvador. I probably wouldn’t trust the government wallet either.
How is it not still a peer to peer cash system? Roger ver wanted the block size increased which would have made transactions on the main chain cheaper. But that would make it difficult for normal people to audit the chain and make sure there are no exploits.
