Did you know that nine countries have withdrawn their ambassadors from Israel, and one has cut diplomatic ties entirely in protest of Israel’s relentless war on Gaza? Last week, the Bolivian government said that it was severing diplomatic ties with Israel completely, making it the first country to do so since the start of the war in Gaza.

On Monday, South Africa announced that it was recalling its ambassador to Israel due to the failure of Israel to “respect international law and the United Nations.” Last week, Jordan recalled its ambassador describing the decision as an “expression of Jordan’s position of rejection and condemnation of the raging Israeli war on Gaza.” Turkey, Chile, Colombia, Chad, Honduras, and Bahrain have also followed suit, citing Israel’s continued attacks on civilians.
