With most of the things, I agree.
Firstly I would address, that I disagree with the sentiment, that
"nostr is different, so it is good as it is".
Somehow from your comment, I feel this. I might be wrong.
But if true, this is a wrong attitude in my opinion. The fact that nostr is different or not, shall not be connected with improvement. We all can improve, and improve the things we do.
Secondly content discovery is a general thing. E.g. If you work at a big company, and you make projects. You will generate lots of shit documentation, which was intended to be useful, but if people coming later, or starting other projects can't find it, it is useless.
So I don't say that the content on nostr is bad. It is what it is. I was only asking if there are already ways for
▶️ content creators to find their audiance easier,
▶️ people to find their creators easier.
And I don't only mean official content creators here. Even grandmas can have good content who just do it out of fun. But if we have ways to make content discoverable more easily, we make connecting between people easier, and even find weird connections that would not be possible otherwise.
Thank you for a great and well-reasoned reply.
I do appreciate your point about opportunities for improvement. There are definitely many ways in which #Nostr can and hopefully will improve. It is very young tech after all.
That the growth happens in a way that protects the fundamental purpose of the technology (Ie: censorship resistance), as opposed to merely recycling the same tired top down strategies of the advertisement based platforms, is where I hope to see things go though.
In that way it really can be the content that has value, as opposed to the number (or rather suggestibility) of users.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts! :)
