For 8 years I was a huge gold bug - classical libertarian maximalist. I’d argue with anyone that would listen that gold was better than #Bitcoin and it was going to zero. Got humbled like a lot of people. The hardest thing for me to understand was how Bitcoin was scarce - “how can it be scarce if anyone can copy the source and make a new one”. Answering that question is the real rabbit hole, and it’s not easy for a lot of people to get.

Lesson here is be patient with the newcomers. Everyone is on a journey and this year’s Bitcoin skeptics are next year’s maximalists. Be humble.
