Our generation has been given the tools and the incentives to end the monopoly issuance of money and return it back to the hands of the market. The traditional concept of retirement is a psyop. “Spend your life doing something you don’t like so that one day you can start doing something you enjoy”. Find joy in your work now. figure out the gift that you can offer the world and keep giving it for as long as you can. The world needs productive people that have honed their craft.
For 8 years I was a huge gold bug - classical libertarian maximalist. I’d argue with anyone that would listen that gold was better than #Bitcoin and it was going to zero. Got humbled like a lot of people. The hardest thing for me to understand was how Bitcoin was scarce - “how can it be scarce if anyone can copy the source and make a new one”. Answering that question is the real rabbit hole, and it’s not easy for a lot of people to get.
Lesson here is be patient with the newcomers. Everyone is on a journey and this year’s Bitcoin skeptics are next year’s maximalists. Be humble.
Energy is not “consumed”, it gets converted from one form to another. Energy is infinite and availability is a technology problem, not a quantity problem. The word games exist to put you into a scarcity mindset, make you feel bad about the energy you convert, and then control you politically. More energy conversion is a good thing.
