What do, nostr? It's been a minute. Taking a break from social media was nice, but I missed people.

Update in case anyone else has similar issues.
I went back to the raspi and was determined to find the source of the issue.
Problem: raspi boots correctly, node syncs with the block chain, and then between 1 and 10 minutes or so (timing varies), the node disconnects and is unreachable by browser. Each time this happened I had to power cycle the raspi to get it running again.
I ended up uninstalling all of the node apps except for the core ones. I had to reboot the raspi 3 times during this process as it would disconnect the node before I could get very far each time.
After I finished uninstalling all of the extra episodes apps, it stopped failing.
It's uptime is currently at over 38 days. One or more of the optional third party apps inside of MyNode was causing the issue. I don't know which one, but if you use MyNode and have this problem, start by uninstalling apps.

I just don't see it. It presumes a degree of not just competency, but innovation that you would be extremely hard pressed to locate inside of a gov agency.
I also don't see the incentives for a program to be greenlit to create a network that cannot be controlled by the state.
Happy to hear your thoughts to the contrary though.
One day when I own land, I want sheep. Figure out how to spin wool into yarn, and have a ready source of clothing and barter material on top of meat.
I'm seriously thinking about learning how to hunt.
I'm trying really hard to embrace self sufficiency, and this feels like the next natural step. It's just an intimidating one. Especially as a former vegetarian.
I have some buddies that are into it, the plan is to shadow them to get a feeling for it and learn what I can, and figure out next steps.
Growth is hard, but also exciting. Always forward, never back.

I had a moment of weakness the other day, and it surprised me.
The details aren't super important, but I basically wasn't having the best of weeks and backslid into my old default behavior at a company gathering because I was so out of my element.
Nothing bad happened, except the lost opportunity to network and run shoulders with company leadership.
But it was a great reminder that my weaker tendencies are always going to be there. That my assumption of being 'past that' was not true at all.
No one gets to just grow past the urge to avoid discomfort, or to settle for what is comfortable. It was a nice dose of reality, and I will work harder next time.

Are there any privacy or security concerns for connecting Sparrow to Bitcoin Core as opposed to Electrum Server?
Using Electrum Server now but my Raspi is dying. I recall reading somewhere that there is a reason not to use Core but now I cannot find it.

That's the only thing that makes sense to me. Otherwise the network would be at the mercy of whoever controlled the clock it references to determine the difficulty setting.
