A concept I always find weird is the idea of the “shotgun dad” as in…

“when my daughter brings a boy over I’m gonna be cleaning a shotgun, he needs to treat my daughter right or else.”

I think most of the time this is a joke, but for anyone that actually means it… I mean bro this is a teenage boy lol

If you’ve been living correctly he’ll be scared shitless of you anyway. Even if you’re super nice to him. 😂

By all means be firm and have rules and boundaries etc… but leave the shotgun in its place.

Boys like girls, girls like boys.

It’s natural and normal.

It was a hilarious coincidence, but I had just returned from the shooting range one afternoon and was cleaning a pistol on the kitchen counter the first time my oldest daughter brought a young man by.
