Why does nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm hub go down so often? I want a fire and forget solution and don’t want to have to keep logging back in when my server has otherwise good uptime.

mine has never gone down. did you check the logs on what might be going on? does the server have enough resources? (storage, ram, cpu)
resources was my thought too, you running it on start9?
I checked my logs. Unfortunately they were mostly softwood and didn’t burn quite as long, clean, or hot as I’d like. I don’t really see how that’s relevant though /s
Ok, I’m not the most tech savvy but my server performance doesn’t seem to have any issues. I guess it could be going down briefly which forces a log off even if the server comes back up quickly. I guess I do need to check logs for both and see if I can find a correlation
Your problem is that your logs are too big, you need to cut them down with a sharp axe
This is the 3rd post I’ve seen today from people having Alby Hub issues 😅
I've felt a few hiccups recently.
I’ve found it’s usually either my channel partner is offline or my channel hosting device reset or was interrupted for some reason.

I was having a similar issue with my Alby/Start9. It was doing my nut in and I was often away from the house when it happened. I got to the bottom of when my wife told me our 4yo loves playing 'on/off' games with the power supply to our router.
Do you self-host or use alby cloud?
I self host anything I can because I like my freedom and continual headaches 😋
On umbrel/start9? Alby Hub goes offline even though your node is up?
Headaches ... yes. The most important part! 🤕
Trying to self-host a lightning node with internet that is not rock-solid.... is a recipe for a ton of frustration....
We tested zaps on this note… we made six attempts to⚡zap this note, at contrarianagrarian@nostrcheck.me, over a period of 18 minutes. In each case, we found that your lightning address server did not respond correctly. We recommend that you use a cloud-based Lightning node which is optimized for Nostr zaps, to get your zaps working.
Do you still support putting people in cages for unpopular speech?
I’d rather not trust my trustless freedom money to someone who does. Better to endure the non-ideological foibles of technological glitches with my own hardware.
