Some relays filter out spam quite effectively. I'm no expert tho. And not sure which ones. if you're amethyst you can go into relay settings and switch off global feed from relays - uncheck🌍 icon. Maybe damus has similar (?). I currently only have the welcome wine relay. Which only show new users. I think global is somewhat pointless, atm at least.

I believe you can add that one for free. It's the main wine relay that you have to pay for... I think.

Lol no worries. Do you use amethyst? I'm not sure how you disable global feed from other clients. But it's fairly easy in amethyst. Actually I think snort has a drop down to select which relay your feed comes from. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ maybe someone else will know more
Probably over time users will become adept at relay selection. You can think of them like little villages.
