I believe that WoS is a great onboarding tool for the newbies. Pitching self-custodial solutions to people who never heard of bitcoin is a nightmare. With WoS you can show how easy and cheap it is to use LN. When people understand the power of the technology, you can then gradually educate them on the importance of self-custody and privacy.
