Granted, I've not participated / paid attention to BTC conferences for long, but they've always been interesting, hype and bullish (in mood not strictly NGU)

This is the first conference where that wasn't the case. Oh well, I guess it was bound to happen. Like a new hodler going through their first bear cycle.
