Haha, ya I have been living around windows for a long time, sometimes you gotta have it for something like bios or whatnot. Thinkpads are my fav. Usually I run arch, but right now I'm sidelined into Ubuntu for a gig that would only run in Ubuntu.. 😅at least it's Linux.. heh.

Arch was great. So was gentoo. I learned a ton.

We deploy on Fedora/RHEL so similar circumstances here. Lol

i can't even function on a mac or windoze anymore, i need my tiling window manager (sway) cause im soo much more productive w/it it's just silly to have to drag windows around like a caveman..

Still on i3. Qt 5.15 app with OpenGL doesn’t play nice with wayland. 🥲

oh damn, yeah i ditched x11 long ago, wayland is working great these days for my stuff.. even got obs working

If I could get the boss to fork out the $ for Qt 6….

that's cool you run i3, ya once you start it's super hard to go back to anything else..

It’s awesome. I can get by with Gnome with popOS’ tiling extension in a pinch though.
