I have a weird feeling about the bame itself being a subtle hint at aether. I believe the transhumanists will try to make an artificial layer around earth to entrap the gullible.

The funny part will be the rug pull on consciousness. This is when a schmuck is given a tour of the facility where people are immortalized via AI and their minds have been "transferred" to artificial brains.
The fool will then agree to the euthanasia process after his "mind" is "duplicated". They, the transhuman service, will spin up an algorithm to impress the "client" and prepare his body for HARVESTING.
Essentially it will be a Soylent Green operation.
The good news is that this is nothing new and it's part and parcel for the devil's who feed on the humans of this world. They are constantly convincing humans to give up the ability to become enlightened in favor of power. Same rug-pull different manipulation. Jesus didn't fall for it. Buddha didn't fall for it. Krishna destroyed it. Rinse and repeat.
If the salvation you seek is outside of you and needs to be purchased it is not salvation. It is the confiscation of your work not given to God. It's a rug-pull. It's a magic carpet ride.
