I think they used hamstr code base in the beginning. Their cache server makes downloading notes efficient.

Have you figured out how to port your keys into the desktop client? Seems like the mobile version is the only way to access via your own keys.

The only way to login to the Primal web client is via a Nostr browser extension (like GetAlby.com). We are going to expand the list of login options in the coming weeks.
