The greatest accidental invention ever created by mankind, has been money.

No other great human innovations are possible without it.

Money is so powerful and so ubiquitous, that it accomplishes its extraordinary feat of cooperation while 99.9% of people have no idea what it is, or better yet, they think it works for the *wrong* reasons. In other words, it works in SPITE of everyone thinking it works for reasons that are irrelevant.

Unfortunately, the few who do know how it works, are often more inclined to place themselves into a position to cheat and break it, rather than make it work better.

Every other major invention that involves multiple technologies & resources from around the globe are literally impossible without the foundation that money creates. Its the innovation that precedes all other human innovation.

Money is the reason society exists. If you think that statement sounds silly, then you are the 99.9%. Unfortunately when you break the money, society goes with it.

Will Bitcoin replace international commodity trade? Will we still trust each other enough to ship around the world hydrocarbons & base metals & salts & grains?

Then why wouldn't we trust each other to send precious metals?

Money is literally the intermediary that enables that trust, because half of every transaction is independently verifiable and is bearer in nature.

Precious metals can’t be that in a digital world, they have the same risk as all other commodities, meaning in our digital environment, it loses a critical aspect that makes it a good money.
