Protocol request: open receipt / invoice data format
- Add a URL to a BIP-21 invoice, wallet grabs URL and parses receipt data
- Communicate a Nostr npub to the merchant, they DM the receipt data to you (to be consumed by your personal finance server at home)
Are there any standards out there? Can we make this happen?

To understand this more clearly, basically you're asking if there is a way to add an npub to invoice data that can then send relevant payment information back to that npub upon purchase over DM, correct? If so, this is definitely possible; receipt information is pretty much already defined with the revised marketplace spec. All that would need to be done is attaching the npub to the invoice.
