Itโ€™s gross, especially if you have carpets. I was raised in a shoeless home. My parents picked up the idea living in Canada for a while and started doing it in earnest when I started crawling as a baby. Nothing like seeing your child lolling all over and even licking the floor to make you consider what youโ€™re tracking onto it.

One of the odd but pleasant coincidences about my husband is his family doesnโ€™t wear shoes inside, either, so he didnโ€™t think that was weird.
