I get where he's coming from, since bitcoiners can be difficult to understand or intimidating for non-plebs. But it's also kinda dangerous to nanny or shelter people too much.

I think a good "ease-in" approach for folks would be listr lists of folks that publish lots of content unrelated to bitcoin as a recommendation for folks to follow. So not excluding bitcoin content, but giving the fresh folks something to interact with they understand. Otherwise many will just check-out.

I’m all for good content discovery tools or introducing people to a variety of topics when they sign up. But every time this comes up it’s about hiding bitcoin content from people. That’s an odd mindset. Just make it easy for people to find what they’re interested in. Why exclude Bitcoin specifically?

Yep, I feel the same way. I understand it's such a focus it can be overwhelming for new folks who aren't maxis. But we can't filter shit for people.

If people really want more non-BTC content on Nostr, they should post more of it. It's not up to us to decide what a new user sees.

πŸ’― agree. People need to stop complaining that there isn’t enough of a particular type of content on Nostr, and just post that type of content. Seems obvious πŸ˜‚πŸ€™

It'll come!

Hold on....what's the battle cry? Oh yeah... "WE'RE SO EARLY!" πŸ˜‚
