Did we need a new protocol for that?

I think i am missing something...

no, doesn't need a new protocol, there is long form articles and wiki and kind 1 notes for noisy commentary

it just needs a... well, this might be a good case for the use of a relay like nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 's pyramid

or at least, a benevolent dictator for life like nostr:npub1m4ny6hjqzepn4rxknuq94c2gpqzr29ufkkw7ttcxyak7v43n6vvsajc2jl controlling the list of allowed posters of the important event types

Hahaha 👍

I will vote for dictator laeserin. Just add more olive oil to the recipe instead of butter 😀.

I don't know about you guys, but i discovered nostr because i saw an app on fdroid called locus. So when i read about nostr i thiught "hmm, this is a protocol with potential for many things". I do expect to see various things...

also, the oils from the beef are the best for making your candles

also, according to serbian language, that would be despota laeserin (there is a major street in Belgrade called despota stefana, or dictator stefanie to translate it)

😂

since you are stella in serbian it would be "despota svezda"

Just link your biblestr to my public OtherStuff relay (GitCitadel.nostr1.com) and then I can just 1985-tag 30040s with "Bible", and nostr:npub10npj3gydmv40m70ehemmal6vsdyfl7tewgvz043g54p0x23y0s8qzztl5h can help us find them.

I'll open an issue on his GutHub repo and tag you. We can figure something out, to get a Bible and Bible-adjacent feed going from GitCitadel.

no rush, but i'm up for a bit of work and work towards this goal

i think bringing Christendom onto #nostr is the most viable #massadoption ... see that #mass part? that we could possibly conspire to bring about

Spreading the Good Word is the ultimate Good Work, IMO. We are supposed to go out and be disciples and evangelize the masses, after all.

DM me the IP address and i'll point the @ and * at it immediately

185.111.156.169

should be active in a few hours at latest tomorrow (IME it works in about 20 minutes based on the settings i just made)

I don't understand what you're asking for 🙈 Which IP address?

i just used dig (used to be called nslookup) to find what that domain name pointed to and pointed it there too

Which domain name? Point what there? 🙈

ok, actually, i probably should be doing a redirect

i think, a CNAME

biblestr.wiki -> gitcitadel.nostr1.com

but if it does have a dedicated IP address i can also add A records for that

Oh, wait with that as we have a website that you could point to and I don't want to mess with Finrod's stuff. But, yes, I'd love to have the domain. 🥰 We'll create a little Bible browser. It'll be cool. Thank you!

it's nothing, 5 bux... but better it is grabbed now because i think it's the right name for it, maybe you want other names but it's nostr and it's the bible and it's a wiki so biblestr.wiki seems like the best name to me

Yes, good name. We were joking about naming it that. 😁

#[4] Can we also write 30040 and 30041 notes to christpill relay?

Just the ones with keywords, like Bibles.

Lets see.. I have no problem with it resource wise, whatever you wanna do.. The relay is in "pubkey -or- keyword" mode, it applies these filters to all kinds.. 🕵️‍♂️ lemme know maybe if youre doing large imports of data to citadel or christpill and I can see how it performs.. 🚀

I was mainly wondering if there is any point of having the same notes on two different nostr1 relays

Any relay can disappear. It's about redundancy and reaching others

Right now, probably not.. but in the future it would provide some redundancy when the cluster expands I could put them on separate servers 😁

okay, I think I'll keep my settings the same for now, because hosting these notes would consume more storage resources without providing real redundancy

well, the Lord carried the humorous message unto mine mind and planted it and it sprouted like a weed

😂 Nostr Miracle #1

You mean a new event? No, you could also create chapters as articles and then list them in one article, but then you have everything one-dimensional, like in a wiki. And it isn't smart to add dimensions to those data types.

Also means your Wiki topics list will consist mostly of individual versus of the Bible and chapters of classic novels into perpetuity. You'd go there and it'd just be Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:2, Genesis 1:3... for 80+ books. And multiply that by all of the translations and human languages.... would be terrible wiki spam and they'd have to start using AI to find all of the book publishing and filter it out of the list.

And it gives the impression that the passage contained is someone's opinion about some topic, rather than source material.

And how do you then find collections, to create a separate book list?

Or easily publish an ePub? Need an automatically-identifiable top metadata index page, for that.

That's why book publishing hasn't taken off, yet. Everything else is a pile of papers and this event puts the various papers into binders.

You could put articles or wiki pages into those binders, along with the 30041 events, but the 30040 binder adds curation and hierarchy to the papers.

Well no, i meant that just as we didn't need another protocol for shitposting, perhaps not another protocol for christian books, but nice explanation anyway 👍
