I love this.

Shes got a point y’all,

It’s “all fun and games but this could be the place for real debate and education.”

I’ll start. Who’s got next? ❤️🤍💙

I’ll be voting for President Biden and Vice President Harris. The issue most important to me is disability equity in America; cognitive, physical, psychological illnesses etc. As a first world nation, we lack in this area.

Neither former President Trump, or candidate Kennedy come close, children living with the above deserve more than we do presently. nostr:note1g6mltlfnuey2gj5e3ztvrkp75shhzd0fdqf8jgyaz84emk7gu0zqz2afev

# #VoteHung, that's what i do. How?

1. Vote,

2. **don't** vote anyone into power,

3. make your vote count.

The #US is not the only election happening in 2024.

We need to get beyond the idea of a leader as saviour. They don't care about your family, your blood.

And it's an old trick parents play on their kids: "pizza or pasta?", who limited the choices? Who put these politicians in our face to choose from?

We don't live in a democracy but a republic. So all the bs about defending democracy is just that -- bs.

In **2024**, a significant number of countries are scheduled to hold national elections. Here are some key points:

1. **Global Significance**: This year is not just an election year; it's perhaps the election year. Globally, more voters than ever in history will head to the polls as at least **64 countries** (plus the European Union) are meant to hold national elections. These elections represent a combined population of about **49%** of the world's people.

2. **Consequential Outcomes**: The results of these elections will have significant implications for years to come. For instance:

- In **Taiwan**, the next president's identity will shape Beijing's approach to the self-governed island.

- In **Bangladesh**, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is set to win a fourth consecutive term, despite opposition protests.

- In **Pakistan**, former Prime Minister Imran Khan's party faces challenges ahead of the election.

- **Vladimir Putin** in Russia is likely to win re-election, but the true vote breakdown may reveal insights into his support.

- In **Ukraine**, incumbent leader Volodomyr Zelensky intends to seek another term.

3. **U.K. General Election**: In the **United Kingdom**, opinion polls suggest that the opposition Labour Party will likely come out on top in the next general election, which embattled Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has promised to call at some point in 2024.

4. **U.S. Presidential Race**: The U.S. presidential race in November has the potential to be the biggest global event of 2024, with former President **Donald Trump** potentially securing a second term.

Below is a list of all the elections scheduled or expected to take place in 2024, ordered by population according to projections by the United Nations¹. You can find more details about specific elections in different countries in the provided link.

Voting is a scam, democracy is a joke.

You can tell the administration takes those issues you mentioned seriously when the President himself is having cognitive issues and he hires a bunch of mentally ill people to higher offices 🤣 🤡🌎

I’m not voting

Any particular reason? 🕊️

Completely pointless. I live in one of those 10+ point gerrymandered states where the winner is predetermined by if a R or D is by your name. Unless you live in one of 4 states your vote has no impact on the presidential election and I don’t.

Then there is multiple issues with a two party system that I’m not getting into.

Ah cheers. Which 4 do you think matter most these days? I think I’m in one of those 4, or at least it feels that way these days 🫠

I’ve haven’t checked the polls to see what the swing states are this year. It will be interesting to see what Georgia and North Carolina do.

Regardless, unless the US has a complete economic meltdown your choice of Biden should win easily.

Will be indeed interesting to see how Georgia and NC go. I’m in Michigan. Hard to know which way we’ll go. Former President Trump was leading in most polls not too long ago. We’ve a large metro Detroit city that isn’t in favor of President Biden atm.

If you really felt that way, you would write in an honest, eligible, and competent candidate. That is the only real way to vote "None of the above". I've done that a few times (even called the person to check their willingness to serve, told others who I was writing in, and they got hundreds of votes).

If you won't do that, all that complaining is just laziness.

I lost interest in voting years ago because I kept coming back to this same dilemma. I have people I love and care about that vote in ways I would have not agreed with.

We would remain distant because of our respective beliefs.

Then when either side wins, it turns out they lied to all of us again and didn’t accomplish the issue we voted them in for (sometimes even make it much worse).

So the divide with loved ones was for nothing.

I’ve found that by not voting, I take the power that politicians have over us away.

I can focus on teaching people about Bitcoin and Nostr to get rid of the real problems facing society.

I can't think of a politician that has ever done anything to improve my life in any way. They just take my freedom.

Can anyone name a presidential candidate that actually attempted to accomplish all campaign promises? To me this should be equivalent to treason if no legitimate effort was put into empty promises.

Is this the most important election of our lifetime?

Sorry about the shit post. My instinct now tells me to distrust politicians. I know you want to have a discussion so:

What does Biden propose to do about the issue?

No apology needed 🕊️I’ll be sure to write when I can do so in a thoughtful way.
